ExpressQ
ExpressQ is a client-server software product that overcomes issues related
to occasionally-disconnected wireless environments and enables organizations
to extend important enterprise information to mobile users.
It does this by
using store-and-forward messaging (message queuing) and database synchronization
over a variety of wireless networks, allowing users to remain productive in
the face of coverage gaps, broken connections and network congestion. Wireless
messages are temporarily stored for out-of-coverage users and then forwarded
when users return to in-coverage areas. At the same time ExpressQ supports
real-time interactive communication when both sides are connected.
ExpressQ is deployed by some of the world’s leading companies across
a variety of industries, including Boeing, Pepsi, Bell South, Schindler, British
Gas, Royal Canadian Mounted Police and London Ambulance.

Features
- Message Queuing - ensuring guaranteed message delivery as users go in
and out of wireless network coverage.
- Message Filtering and Prioritization - ExpressQ enables the application
to control which data is sent over which network, which messages are priority
and can also set client-specific size filters to minimize communication
costs and maximize performance.
- Network Switching – ExpressQ manages multiple network connections
for the device, automatically establishing connections when needed and automatically
switching between networks according to customer rules.
- Multiple Simultaneous Networks - Ability to be connected to more than one network simultaneously, data can be sent down either network depending on profiles and rules. This allows for instances such as sending highly secure data down a secure channel whilst at the same time sending unrestricted data over a high speed public network.
- Session Persistence through coverage gaps, network switches, voice call
interruptions, disconnects/re-connects and changing IP addresses.
- Optimized Transport – built-in compression and wireless-optimized
transport enable ExpressQ to reduce costs, increase performance and battery
life and improve user experience.
- Security and Authentication – ExpressQ provides optional wireless-optimized
AES encryption and LDAP-based user authentication, enabling highly-secure
communication between the mobile client and server. ExpressQ is FIPS 140-2 compliant.
